Instead of getting better the more balls I hit, I never really improved. While the game is playable with this problem, it makes hitting the ball a little difficult. This makes the animation choppy and the mouse click to hit feels sluggish and unresponsive. For some reason, each swing of the bat causes the CD to be read. This game doesn't install any files to the hard disk - everything is run from the CD. I was extremely impressed with all the details of each character. Each batter has a distinct personality - from the boy who hops to the plate to the girl who says "my game is really tennis, anyway" when she strikes out. The pace is a little slow, but not too fast for children. ![]() Everything is here, and everything is easy enough for kids. Fielding is accomplished by clicking where you want the ball thrown, and running is as simple as clicking in the direction you want the runner to advance. Hitters swing at the ball and can even see the strike zone. Pitchers choose the pitch as well as the placement. Gameplay includes all the necessary elements. Pitchers throw crazy pitches such as the "Elevator" and the "Crazy Ball." Now it's been a while since I spent some time doing batch scripts so I'm certain there are more efficient approaches here and quite possibly ways to avoid having to set all these paths. This worked fine for me running on Windows 10 Pro, tested out a whole bunch of games such as Beneath a Steel Sky, Flight of the Amazon Queen, Leisure Suit Larry, Space Quest 4 and a few others I can't remember right now.
